David is a highly technical and articulate SEO specialist and business leader.
Having lived in London since attending University College London (UCL), David moved to New York in January 2012 to set up the New York office for Ayima, the leading SEO and Search Agency. From humble beginnings in a co-working space in TriBeCa, David grew the New York office in SoHo to 15 people and multi-million dollar revenues, developing an enviable client list including Fortune 20 enterprises.
He single-handedly built the New York office, finding office space, negotiating leases, negotiating contracts, hiring staff and developing innovative strategies to win business and build the Ayima brand in the US. Over the nearly 4 years, Ayima moved from the co-working space into their flagship office in the bustling heart of SoHo, NYC.
A 15 year veteran of the SEO industry, David acted as lead on some of the most successful SEO Programs, in so delivering triple digit growth percentages in SEO revenues and traffic, crushing stretch targets. He has spoken at numerous industry events, including SMX East & West and set up ManhattanSEO, a Meetup group for industry professionals.
David identified a need to modify the offering of the agency for the highly competitive search market and in doing so managed to win business off much larger, less capable competitors. As a result of David’s work and the wider Ayima team, we were seen widely as the most valuable agency partners at one of the largest corporations in the United States.
Having left Ayima, David drove across the country with his now fiancee and is now based in the Bay Area, a resident of Oakland. He enjoys running and is training (badly) for a number of half marathons and hopes to break 2 hours at some point. A keen cricketer, he also represented Hoboken Cricket Club in NYC and is looking for opportunities to play on the West Coast.
Prior to leaving London, David was a founding member of the London Academicals Field Hockey Club and long-standing captain of the Men’s 2nd XI that won promotion in his first season. The club continues to thrive to this day.
